✦ Our Mission

Friends of Salmon Bay (FOSB) is dedicated to supporting, serving, and enhancing the learning environment of Salmon Bay K–8. All our fundraising efforts are directed towards meeting the diverse needs of our students. Together, we can reach our fundraising goal and support our community.

Join us for our community celebration, participate in our online auction, attend a buy-in party, or make a direct impact through Direct Giving. Every donation, purchase, or ticket contributes directly to supporting our school.

More than ever, we need your support. Next school year, our budget increases to accommodate a larger School Grant, filling the gap left by district funding. This grant will support key faculty, provide more electives, extend nurse and reading specialist availability, and more.

With an increase in enrollment, we want to ensure that every child has access to the unique and enriching programs offered by our school like grade-level camps and the Spring Enrichment Program. Our budget includes scholarships, funds for events, and grants to support teachers. We'll continue supporting traditions like the Lantern festival and Pi Night.

As the district funding gap grows, we appreciate each donation and promise to maintain our commitment to our school and community. Together, we are Salmon Bay.

Note: An optional 15% platform fee will be added to your donation or purchase at checkout. This fee goes directly to GiveButter, the platform hosting our fundraiser, and not to FOSB. This contribution is completely optional and can be changed to 0. If you'd like to support them, you're welcome to do so, but it is not required.

FOSB is also a member of the Central and North Seattle PTA Alliance (CANSSPA), the sister organization of the West Seattle Public Schools Equity Fund and Southeast Seattle Fundraising Alliance (SESSFA). Their mission is to advocate for all children in the Seattle Public School District to receive adequate and equitable education. Please consider supporting their efforts through the Alliance for Education.
