This is a collaboration between She Fest and House of Resilience to raise funds that will help HOR fund services, support and aid for trans people in the San Diego and Tijuana region.

House of Resilience
The mission of the House of Resilience is to champion the LGBTQ+ communities of San Diego and Tijuana by actively fostering a more inclusive and equitable environment. At the heart of our mission is the unwavering commitment to center and uplift the voices of trans women of color, empowering them to thrive in a safer, more just community that celebrates their unique identities and experiences.

House of Resilience's current offerings include:

Sappho's Cafe, a radically affirming queer-friendly space and business in Tijuana that hosts HOR's trans work program;
Peer support groups, online communities, and events;
Access to free clothing and shoes; and
A database with information about community hangouts, support groups, medical and legal advocacy, changing your name or gender marker, or getting on HRT!

She Fest

We are a LGBTQ+ volunteer committee that centers the diverse experiences of LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people, and welcome all who find community amongst these identities. Together, we uplift, support, empower, and connect LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people on unceded Kumeyaay and Luiseño land (San Diego region) through community-building, arts, education, and advocacy.

We are explicitly inclusive and affirming of trans people, intersex people, and non-binary people.

We commit to combating oppression, bigotry, discrimination, and injustice inclusive of homophobia, transphobia, patriarchy, racism, and ableism.
