INTRODUCTION

Legendary political cartoonist Pat Bagley of the Salt Lake Tribune has donated a very special print of one of his most viral cartoons ever honoring Nobel Laureate, Malala. Malala is widely regarded as one of the most influential human rights advocates of our generation.

We are living in unthinkable times—here in the U.S. and across the globe—and this moment is an opportunity to shape the future for half the world’s population: girls and women.

Malala said recently: "I never imagined women's rights would be lost so easily."

We couldn't agree more with Malala. #SheBelongs, a special program of Utah-based Refugee Soccer, is a tenaciously-focused global movement taking action to fight against the rapid erosion of these rights, the dignity, and the opportunities for girls everywhere. The power of Malala's extraordinary example and our shared message of equality and inclusion for girls is beautifully captured in this historic piece by Pat, created just six days after she was shot on her way to school in 2012.

AUCTION

This unique, extremely limited, and beautifully framed work of art is up for auction right now (see Auction tab above). All monies raised from the sale will be used to fund the participation of refugee and non-refugee young women in the rapidly-expanding #SheBelongs movement.

The Auction is open to any and all registered bidders around the world and is NOW LIVE. The winner will be announced near the conclusion of the evening on April 30th. (The winner need not be present at the event to win the auction.)
