Our mission: We are a foster-based, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to finding loving, forever homes for homeless animals.

In December and January, these 6 reindeer puppies graced us with their presence. Dancer, Dasher, Prancer, Comet, Vixen and Rudolph. We rescued them from an overcrowded shelter in the south. We brought them to safety in Michigan and placed them into foster care in a warm and loving home. One by one they became sick, one by one they were emitted to the ER. There, they received the best care available. Almost Home spared no expense. Their diagnosis was Distemper and other viruses. They each remained in the hospital for up to 5 days. As they started to turn a corner, they were released into foster care where the foster families continued to love on them, cuddling them, keeping up with their Rx schedule and feeding them home cooked meals of rice and boiled chicken. In the end their small bodies were unable to fight it off. The sicknesses were too much for their 12-week-old tiny bodies. One by one we lost them. We were so sad and our hearts were broken. We did everything we could to provide for them. But now our emergency care fund account is depleted. Please help us rebuild.
