Skyrocket Pediatric Therapy Foundation is hosting its 2nd Annual Pickleball Classic at the Tennis and Pickleball Club at Newport Beach on Sunday, May 19, 2024 to raise awareness and funds to support our local children with developmental disabilities.

Last year, we raised over $13,000 at our Pickleball Classic! These funds have helped financially support over 400 therapy sessions, provide education, case management, and advocacy to over 50 families, and distribute 500 developmental milestone screening booklets to our local communities. For every $1000 we receive, we are able to fund approximately 15 therapy sessions or 40 developmental screenings.

Skyrocket Pediatric Therapy Foundation is a Temecula based non-profit organization dedicated to serving children with special needs and their families in the Orange County and Inland Empire communities. Founded by Rachel Troccoli, a speech-language pathologist, and Katie Oien, an occupational therapist, they saw firsthand the number of underserved children, overwhelmed families, and the high financial cost of a child's therapy. To help families navigate their child's developmental and therapy needs and to ensure that children with developmental differences receive the services they deserve despite, Skyrocket was born.

Skyrocket provides community outreach to educate medical professionals, teachers, and families about typical development and red flags for communication, movement, learning, and behavior. Skyrocket provides case management and advocacy for families to obtain the services their child needs. Finally, Skyrocket offers financial assistance for those who would benefit from therapeutic services but have financial hardships. Financial hardship should NEVER be a reason that children do not receive the recommended services they deserve. Skyrocket exists to relieve these burdens from children with developmental differences and their families in our communities!
