What happens when a child swaps a glowing screen for a glowing campfire?

For more than a century, Camp Fire has helped young people discover that they are capable of more than they imagined. A quiet child finds their voice. A hesitant camper discovers confidence. A young person who once followed becomes someone others look to for leadership.

These moments happen because caring, consistent adults create spaces where young people feel welcome, supported, and ready to explore.

Right now, Camp Fire Heart of Iowa needs our community more than ever. After losing federal funding in recent years, we are expanding our program offerings in 2027 and hiring much-needed staff to sustain strong programs. Our budget is exceptionally tight, but the need for this work has not diminished.
