Our mission is simple but powerful: to bring new books to children in need and foster a lifelong love of reading. Through our summer reading program, “Every Summer Has a Story,” we provide children with a backpack filled with brand-new, age-appropriate books to help prevent summer learning loss and ignite their imaginations all summer long.

Auction Details:

Up With Books is a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to promoting literacy and sparking a love of reading among children living in economically disadvantaged communities. Every dollar raised through this auction directly supports our programs. Through our Every Summer Has a Story reading program, we provided over 26,000 brand-new books to 3,256 children this year alone. These books are more than just pages—they are stepping stones to opportunity, imagination, and academic success. With your support, we can continue delivering the power of reading to children who need it most, ensuring that every child has the chance to write their own inspiring story.

Participation is open to everyone—simply register with a valid email and payment method to begin bidding. Winning bidders are responsible for shipping costs, with the option for pickup available at our location: Up With Books, 2 Shaker Road, Suite B007, Shirley, MA.

Winning bidders will be invoiced within 24 hours. Payment is due immediately upon notification.

All amounts are in U.S. dollars. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law; consult a tax professional for details. Fair market values (FMV) are listed per item for tax purposes.

Optional donor tips are suggested to cover processing fees (2.9% + $0.30 for cards, 1.9% + $0.30 for ACH).

*** Winning bidders are responsible for pickup or shipping costs unless otherwise noted. Pickup must be arranged within 7 days of auction close at 2 Shaker Road, Suite B007, Shirley, MA. Shipping, if available, will be coordinated directly with the bidder at their expense. ***

If payment is not received on a winning bid within 3 days, Up With Books may award the item to the second highest bidder.
