They were designed in partnership with the Mid-Coast School of Technology and turned into unique works of art by talented local artists. For more than 40 years, Peopleplace has offered an exceptional early childhood experience for children and families in the Camden area. Our fundraising efforts are vital to ensuring our preschool remains accessible to a range of families and continues to meet a critical childcare need in our community.

The reality is that costs are rising, and an unprecedented number of families need scholarships to afford childcare and preschool. At the same time, research shows that play-based, high-quality early childhood education has a profound influence on a child’s future success and well-being. So a Peopleplace experience benefits area children, their families, and our larger society for years to come.

And that is where our community — and people like you — have stepped up to support us and our families. We are deeply grateful to the sponsoring businesses who are hosting the Pine Trees, to the Mid-Coast School of Technology for designing and providing the trees, to the Peopleplace families who facilitated this fundraiser, and especially to the generous artists who donated their talents to make them into one-of-a-kind works of art.

Community is central to our cooperative spirit, and we hope that this one-of-a-kind community art exhibit will not only raise support for our school but also showcase the generosity and talents of those who call the Midcoast home. More About Peopleplace

Peopleplace Cooperative Preschool is a licensed and accredited preschool for children aged eighteen months to five years old. We offer part-time, full-day, and summer programming. As a cooperative, we engage parents and families as partners in their child’s education. Our philosophy is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education and nature-based education, especially through our outdoor-based Branching Out program.
