Founded in 2010, the Asian Mentoring Committee (AMC) is an affinity group of Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AANHPI) volunteers who support Asian Littles in NYC and the New American Program (NAP).

The New American Program at Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC is a specialized mentoring initiative designed to support 1st generation youth from immigrant families by matching them with caring and supportive mentors who often share cultural identities with their Littles. NAP addresses the unique challenges these youth may face, such as navigating cultural norms, languages, and customs different from those in their home countries.

Celebrate AANHPI Heritage Month (May) & Immigrant Heritage Month(June) in spirit and action. Join us in this meaningful journey by supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC.
