Our mission is simple: to foster entertainment, teamwork, and unity within our community. Whether on stage, behind the scenes, or in the audience, all are welcome to contribute to the vibrant arts culture of Town Players Community Theater.

Established in 1977 as a grassroots movement fueled by local residents' shared passion for theater, we initially staged productions in community spaces. We secured a permanent home in downtown Watertown in 2002 when we moved into the former Skagg's grocery store. Our community's remarkable generosity and support led to Town Players acquiring the building in 2020, solidifying our place in the fabric of downtown Watertown.

Over the years, the theater has faced its share of challenges, including financial constraints, but through the dedication and perseverance of its members and supporters we've persisted. As we look to the future, Town Players Community Theater remains committed to our founding principles of creativity, inclusivity, and community engagement, ensuring that the magic of live theater continues to inspire and delight audiences for generations to come.
