Hartley Community Daycare is a licensed 501(c)(3) nonprofit childcare center based in rural northwest Iowa. For over a decade, we have provided high-quality early care and education to families in Hartley and the surrounding communities. We are proud to be a Level 3 IQ4K-rated program and have just completed our first full year of program-wide PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) cohort training.

We are currently building a new center that will double our licensed capacity from 62 to 120 children, expand infant care, introduce a public 3-year-old preschool program aligned with the local school district, and provide on-site after-school and early intervention services. Our current building is no longer viable, water pipes are collapsing underground, the furnaces require replacement, and the facility no longer meets building code. This new center will address urgent access needs and reduce the financial, logistical, and emotional burdens placed on working families, particularly mothers who often shoulder the responsibility of arranging care.
