This annual event on March 7, 2025 is our main fundraiser. It allows us to help fund our vocational programming for the year and keep it free of charge for participating families. This year the Clay Shoot Auction is more important than ever, with the purchase of our new Sunshine House and the cost to renovate we want this to be the most successful event yet.

We are asking you all to support this year’s clay shoot auction! Thank you to our village of sponsors, donors and volunteers, small and big, you know who you are. Every gift is greatly appreciated and together we are making a difference in the lives of those who need us. You make the Rays world a brighter place and we are grateful to each and every one of you!

Pockets Full of Sunshine was born from this need and we have made it our mission to provide inclusive, community focused, social and vocational opportunities for adults with disabilities.

Our dream has always been to have a community who embraces its special members, days filled with purpose and meaningful relationships, and a space of our own that not only houses all the wonderful things that we do but is also an important part of the unique tapestry that makes up our beautiful Lowcountry home.

Since our inception, we have experienced tremendous growth, which speaks to the tremendous need. Our weekly calendar is full of more activities and involvement with community events than ever before, our free vocational day programming is full and our waitlist of new families grows every week. The ‘Rays,’ our name for the special adults we serve who are literal Rays of Sunshine, are active and visible and thus known and loved throughout our community.

Last year we took the first steps towards fulfilling one of our long-held dreams, a permanent home for our programming, The Sunshine House. After operating out of a generously donated warehouse for the last few years, until we were literally bursting at the seams, we purchased a building of our very own, located at 64 Arrow Road.

We are delighted by this next step and all the opportunities it will provide for the Rays!
