Welcome LPR community. We have sure had a difficult year so far, and we expect it to continue to get worse.

So many animals are dying right now. Shelters can't keep up. Vets can't keep up. The aftermath of Covid continues to hurt those who don't have any say and rescues and shelters don't know what to do. Sadly, the only options are doing free adoptions or euthanasia.

Lucky Paws is changing to meet the needs and demands of these times but WE NEED YOUR HELP.

We can't do this alone. Adoptions are down and we are holding the dogs entrusted in our care, but this is not only costly but hard for the animals, because foster homes aren't their forever homes. We can't hold them forever unless we make changes NOW!

They don't understand that! We can't let these beautiful lives end because we can no longer afford their care or provide a home for them to stay

We have a large number of dogs that aren't as adoptable right now. Maybe they're nervous around new people, high energy or JUST BIG!

We have a property where we can start rehabilitating and providing a comfy home to these dogs and others that will come in.

We hired a contractor we trusted (and put a large deposit down for materials) last November and nothing has been purchased or started! Separate issue we are dealing with. $9,000 probably lost and no fencing or materials. This hurt! We need proper fencing to build a secure yard for working with the dogs and letting them get out.

We want to build a proper area and not just throw dogs in kennels and a dusty yard. We need landscaping, plants, artificial grass, base sand and more to make this property easy to manage, since we expect more incoming dogs with nowhere to go.
