Eight local artists and eight local “Celebrities'' are raising money and creating unique artwork for the annual CelebrARTy progressive fundraiser, benefitting Access Arts. The artist-celeb pairs meet to create a distinctive piece of art that will be auctioned off at the final CelebrARTy fundraiser event at The Blue Note. This final event also includes an impressive silent auction, signature cocktails and local eats. All community members are invited to attend!

Access Arts History:

School of Service was founded in 1971 by Hurst John, an accomplished architect and visionary of his day, who had a son with Cerebral Palsy. Watching his son interact with others inspired him to develop an integrated learning program for the Columbia community.

Following John's death in 1979, Naoma Powell officially became the director of the organization and sought to extend and share his vision. Under her direction, accessible art programs became the core agenda of School of Service, and we are now known as Access Arts!
