This model of the Beaver Islander was built by Beaver Island native William Gillespie from over 600 popsicle sticks and toothpicks. The display case and stand were built by Larry Cross of Charlevoix from wood recovered in Beaver Island harbor from the shipwreck of the Wallaha. Over 200 hours of work went into this model and display - all because both artists have a fondness for Beaver Island and a wish to support the Emerald Isle Irish Feile at a high level.

Gillespie and Cross donated the model and display to the Beaver Island Irish Heritage Group to use as a fundraiser for the Emerald Isle Irish Féile (Festival). This silent auction is established to raise funds for the festival AND ensure that this amazing display will be permanently housed at the Beaver Island Boat Company office.

What do I get if I am the winning bidder?

Bragging Rights: Your Name will appear on a plaque on the model along with the builders’ names when the model makes its final home at the BI Boat Company Office.
Knowledge that 100% of your donation goes to support the Emerald Isle Irish Féile
Knowledge that you triggered an additional $500 donation to the festival from Beaver Island Boat Company
Feile Sponsorship Benefits: You will automatically become a festival sponsor and receive the benefits associated with whatever level the final bid comes in at. At a minimum you would receive:
- Sponsor name/logo on Féile website and on the festival program
- Sponsor mention on social media and newspaper promotions of event.
- Additionally you would receive the following benefits at each level:
- Emerald Isle Sponsor: $2,000 +
  - Sponsor name/logo on large banner in main music venues
  - Four event passes, Two event t-shirts, One walkway sign

- Arranmore Island Sponsor: $1,000-$1,999
  - Sponsor name/logo on large banner in main music venues
  - Two event passes, One event t-shirt, One walkway sign

- Donegal Bay Sponsor: $500-$999
  - 1 event pass, One walkway sign

Rules of the Auction -

Bidding starts at $500 (Thank You BIBCO) and increases in $50 increments. The winner will be the person with the highest bid when the campaign closes at 5pm on July 31st.
