About us:

Rock Steady Boxing - Boardman, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing an evidence-based exercise program specifically designed to impact the symptoms and slow the progression of Parkinson’s Disease and other movement disorders. We are an Affiliate of Rock Steady Boxing, Indianapolis, IN, which has over 800 Affiliates in 14 countries.

We offer a variety of physical and neurological methods aimed at slowing the progression of PD and providing support to those affected physically, socially and mentally by a movement disorder. Our classes combine functional exercises to target the unique needs of people with PD, helping them Fight Back against symptoms in a supportive community setting. Our coaches are Certified as Rock Steady Coaches through a rigorous training program developed by Rock Steady Boxing, Indianapolis.

Our Mission:

The mission of Rock Steady Boxing - Boardman, Inc. is to raise awareness about Parkinson’s Disease, to Fight Back and to improve the quality of life for people with Parkinson’s Disease and those with other movement disorders. Supporting each other as a community to empower those impacted with a movement disorder and who are unable to find a path to others who share similar experiences and challenges. To remove barriers offering a variety of proven services and support without creating hardship to them emotionally or financially via a comprehensive, evidence-based curriculum.

Our ViSioN:

Our ViSioN is a community where all afflicted with Parkinson’s Disease and other movement disorders, their caregivers, family and friends have an army of support knowing they do not have to fight this disease alone.

About the event:

Our annual “Walk in the Park” is to raise awareness and support the fight against Parkinson’s disease. A community event to walk as “ONE”. All Proceeds and Donations go directly to “Rock Steady Boxing Boardman, Inc” Parkinson’s disease program. Connected with the 501(c)(3) non profit for your tax deductabledonation. This year’s event proceeds will go towards reducing membership fees and the purchase of needed equipment to advance on the fight We will meet at the East Hike & Bike Trail parking area off Boardman-Canfield Rd (Rt 224) in Boardman, Ohio.
