In partnership with the City of Los Angeles, and thanks to the generosity of our donors, grantors and sponsors, the Valley InterCommunity Council (VIC) has been providing essential social services to low income at risk older adults, since 1964. These services (at no cost to Seniors) include nutritious meals, transportation to and from our Senior Centers and health, wellness and activity programs.

We provide over 300,000 meals and over 40,000 rides annually! With diminishing assistance from traditional City, State and Federal programs, your support is more vital than ever.

Food Insecurity and Social Isolation are at epidemic levels as per the US Surgeon General, the AMA, the APA, the NIH etc. Too many Seniors live in fear each month, not knowing if they will have enough funds for rent, utilities, medicines and other expenses. Coupled with the loneliness of social isolation leaves these valuable members of our society hopeless...silently in despair.

To address these life-threatening challenges,

VIC has launched Project Golden: Because we treasure our aging adults.

Donations to VIC: Project Golden will remove hundreds of otherwise homebound clients off of waiting lists so they too can be an active part of the world around them. By providing rides to our 3 Senior Centers (Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys and Pacoima), those who are too often forgotten will be able to enjoy the company of others, as well as no cost healthy meals, exercise/wellness programs and a variety of social activities.

The Valley InterCommunity Council proudly compassionately owns a decades-long legacy of giving a voice to those who do not feel heard...of bringing people from diverse backgrounds and communities together. Clients can replace their fear and despondency with feelings of acceptance, understanding, friendship, comfort and hope.

Our Seniors will NOT be forgotten with Project Golden uplifting them.
