Over the years, Janet has shared stories of resilience, hope, and generosity, many of them from right here at United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley (UWNSV) and the dozens of nonprofits we work alongside every day.

Those stories are about real people. They are about neighbors facing eviction, families choosing between groceries and medicine, and children who need a safe place to learn and grow. They’re about what happens when a community refuses to let anyone fall through the cracks.

That’s what United Way does. We meet people where they are and help them find their way forward. But we can’t do it alone. It takes all of us, working hand in hand, to keep this Valley strong.

To honor this milestone, Janet has set a simple but powerful goal: raise $2,500 by the end of the year. That is one dollar for every show she’s shared with our community.
