About our Speaker:

Vanessa McNeal is a Survivor, Award-Winning Documentary Filmmaker, nationally acclaimed Speaker, and Life & Leadership Coach, and. Her documentaries include: We are Survivors, a film that examines the healing journeys of eight survivors of sexual abuse; The Voiceless, featuring the stories of five male survivors of sexual violence; and Gridshock, an expose on the depth and breadth of the sex trafficking industry in the state of Iowa.

With a Master's Degree in Social Work with a specialization in trauma informed care, Vanessa is a leading voice on well-being, resilience, and mental & emotional mastery. Her impactful presentations have resonated with audiences ranging from women’s empowerment events and university lecture halls to prestigious military institutions such as the National Guard and Air Force. Vanessa's mission is to inspire and ignite positive change, empowering individuals and organizations to reach their highest potential.

This training will be available for professionals across Riverview Center’s 16-county service area in Iowa and Illinois.
