Our purpose at Scars Uncovered is to provide support, resources, and a community to burn survivors and their families. We aid and empower burn survivors to thrive in their recovery journey. We believe that every burn survivor has the potential to live a fulfilling life, and we are here to support them throughout the journey.

Our founder, Andrea Pitts, is a burn survivor herself. At the mere age of 18 months, she suffered first, second, and third-degree burns, over 30-35% of her body. She truly has a firsthand testimony to the long and painful process of recovery and perseverance. She is also a testimony of how a burn survivor can live a fulfilling life and overcome after such a tragic life experience.
