Our Healing Hub and Wiisagi Ma’iingan are at it again! Each year, as individuals, we’ve organized to purchase Christmas gifts for our local community youth. This year, we want to do more! With your support, we dare to raise $60,000 for our elders and youth.

Our fundraiser benefits the Indigenous communities on Turtle Island and Puerto Rico as well as local youth on the Jersey Shore.

We will directly purchase food, winter resources, Christmas gifts, food, diapers, and formula, and to provide roof and home repair for elders impacted by the hurricanes.

We are also looking for artists who may be interested in auctioning their work during the event!

Our Healing Hub:

Our Healing Hub is a community hub that offers wellness to those who are racially marginalized or historically “othered” by mainstream wellness. The exploration from Our Healing Hub includes free weekly classes and monthly guest teacher highlights to broaden the community’s opportunity to learn from a variety of teachers and practices.

Wiisagi Ma’iingan

Wiisagi Ma’iingan, aka A is a queer, Anishinaabe artist, speaker, and non-traditional educator. They facilitate workshops for decolonization in the classroom, presentations for elementary-aged students, and host spaces regularly to highlight Indigenous artists. They are active in boots-on-the-ground community work and support to create a brighter world for future generations.
