On January 6, 2025, disaster struck our community in Altadena. The devastating Eaton Wildfire tore through the neighborhood, leaving destruction in its wake. Among the many losses was A Meaningful Goal Housing Shelter (AMGHS), our nonprofit dedicated to providing housing and support to those in need.

Our shelter at 249 Mountain View St. was more than just a building—it was home. At the time of the fire, 22 residents were living in the house, rebuilding their lives and working toward stability. When the flames consumed everything, they were forced to evacuate and relocate, left without a safe space to turn to.

Beyond the physical loss, the emotional toll has been overwhelming. Our staff and board members, the backbone of AMGHS, have been navigating the stress of losing not only our shelter but the foundation of the work we do. Despite the grief and hardships, we refuse to let this tragedy define us.

To make this vision a reality, we need your help.
