It all started with one special bunny. 🐇
In April 2015, the day before Easter, our Executive Director Lindsey was gifted her very first rabbit—Ember. That little bunny quickly stole her heart and opened her eyes to just how magical (and misunderstood) rabbits really are. When she discovered that bunnies are the third most abandoned pet, she knew she had to do something.

In January 2019, Ember’s was born—named after the bunny who started it all. Just two months later, we officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

While bunnies are our main mission, we’ve got love for all animals and care for a small variety. One of our greatest joys is offering a space where kids and adults alike can volunteer, connect with animals, and practice kindness toward every living being.

From one bunny came a big dream—and it’s still growing. 💚
