Lisa THEE’ Oracle Hightower, founder of The Church of Sound, Inc. I grew up in the church, then stepped into a broader spiritual awareness that led me to create spaces where music uplifts, inspires, and connects people across every line that divides us. Without trying, audiences started saying that coming to my shows felt like their own kind of music church.

A few years ago, a car accident nearly ended my life. Wheelchair-bound and unable to care for myself, I found healing through music itself. I sang over my own pain until it subsided—no more pain pills, just the power of sound. People have always told me my music is a bright light, that it gives hope, and that it translates them into another world—even long before the accident. And since that experience, its impact has only grown stronger, resonating even deeper with those who hear it.

Too often, artists like me—and so many gifted musicians—were promised opportunities that never materialized. Fest In The Hills Music Festival was created to change that: a festival by artists, for artists, celebrating those who have honed their craft yet are still waiting for stages worthy of their talent. It’s equally about unity—bringing a rich mix of artists, genres, and cultures into new spaces to dissolve barriers and remind us all that music is a universal language with the power to connect.

By Artist, For Artist Music Events – creating spaces for artists to perform and improve their monetization opportunities.
Artist Development Academy – empowering youth and emerging artists with training, mentorship, and resources at no cost or a nominal fee.
Emergency Artist Funds – providing vital assistance to artists who, like our founder, have endured hardships and need support to continue their craft.
Community Giving – a portion of funds will go to to provide support to local musicians in need.

The Church of Sound, Inc., now an official nonprofit, will use this festival and future gatherings to uplift artists and humanity. I’m listening to what’s next—this is bigger than me.
