Our therapy horses give their bodies, patience and energy to their work. We want to give some of that care right back.

Each of our five therapy horses receives massage therapy twice each year to support their comfort and well-being.

WHY HORSES?

Hippotherapy is a treatment tool used by licensed physical, occupational and speech therapists. It incorporates the horse’s natural, rhythmic movement into a therapeutic treatment plan to help clients work toward goals involving balance, posture, strength, coordination, communication and functional skills.

It is not a riding lesson. The horse’s movement is part of the treatment.

That makes the health and well-being of every horse in our herd essential to the work we do.
