How it all began...

Romelia Farms is a 36-acre wildlife preserve located on a historic property in Merritt Island, FL. When Jeremy and Lina Graves first inquired about the property in late 2020, it most certainly wasn’t because they had any interest in buying a petting zoo. In fact, the only thing they were interested in was leasing the barn as a wedding venue.

However, when they found out about the now former owner’s intention to sell the land and send the animals living on it to auction, they decided they had to act quickly if they were going to save the lives of the 150+ animals who called it their home. Without hesitation or experience and with unknown obstacles that lay ahead, they put everything on the line and began their rescue mission. In that very moment, their purpose shifted, they traded in their luxuries for farm boots and tractors, and Romelia Farms Wildlife Preserve was born.

On July 29th, 2021, the Graves family purchased the property and not only turned the organization into a 501(c)3 nonprofit, but turned it into a wildlife preserve that’s dedicated to providing the utmost care for the 150+ animals who call it home. Right away they got to work adjusting diets, rebuilding enclosures, restoring pasture land, and improving the overall health and well-being of the animals.

The Annual All-In for the Animals Casino Fundraiser Gala...

With a mission focused on continuously improving the valuable lives that they were charged with caring for; the Graves had to learn to fundraise, something that in their corporate jobs, Jeremy & Lina were very familiar with, only from the opposite side of giving vs. raising. However, they would soon find a path, and with Lina's love for event planning and knack for private, in-home casino parties, the Annual All-In for the Animals Casino Fundraiser Gala was born!

Now in its 3^rd year, Romelia Farms has been absolutely blessed to take this extraordinary annual event from 100 guests in its first year, to more than 300+ expected to attend this year. This is made possible by a community that believes, trusts, and understands the incredible value in their mission to provide a haven for the needy farm and exotic animals of Brevard County and beyond.
