Let's come together to support the animals in LA.

After the fires this January, I wondered how I could help. What did I have to offer? What could I do?

I learned of Best Friends Animal Society and the work they were doing to help the animals that were taken in after being displaced by the fires. My girlfriend had mentioned that Bob Odenkirk was working with Best Friends Animal Society to fly the animals to new shelters and relieve the stress at the L.A. facility during the fires. I thought, "Wow, that is such a great idea!" On a chance encounter, we saw Bob Odenkirk walking his dog one day on a drive and in the spur of the moment we yelled out "Bob, we love what you're doing with the dogs!" His reply...simple, but perfect. "I'm just doing what I can."

I love animals and like all of you, hated seeing the images of the destruction the wildfires had on them. So i'm doing what I can.

I created this original 36x36x2 art as the final piece of my solo art exhibition, "Alone Again, Naturally!" I knew that if I did, I could potentially helps some animals in need and with your help, give back to the Los Angeles community that has given so much to me and so many others.

There are two ways to help. You can simply, "Donate" a set amount or bid on the painting via the live auction. Just make sure you're aware of the difference! The highest bid at the end of the auction gets the art and I will donate all proceeds to Best Friends Animal Society. Thank you! - Darren Vorel
