A Place for New Beginnings

New beginnings rarely start perfectly.

When we first stepped into a 100+ year-old house, it needed vision, sacrifice, and restoration. Room by room, it was rebuilt into something strong, safe, and welcoming. What once stood worn and weathered is now filled with light, laughter, and life.

Today, that restored house is Anchored Hope.

Each year, young adults age out of foster care with no permanent family and little safety net. For some, this ministry quite literally stands between them and homelessness. Without stable housing, guidance, and community, the transition into adulthood can quickly become overwhelming.

Anchored Hope exists so they don’t have to navigate it alone.

We provide a safe, faith-centered transitional living program for young women ages 18–24 who have aged out of foster care. For up to two years, they are surrounded by structure, mentorship, and community while building the foundation for independent, thriving lives.

Our program focuses on six key areas essential for long-term success:

Employment – securing meaningful, sustainable work
Education – completing degrees and career training
Life Skills – daily responsibility, communication, and household management
Health & Wellness – physical, emotional, and spiritual growth
Community – developing healthy relationships and belonging
Financial Literacy – budgeting, saving, and planning for the future

These are not just lessons — they are lifelines.

Today, our home is full — with a waiting list. Inside those restored walls, women are finishing degrees, securing full-time employment, building financial stability, and discovering confidence. But perhaps most importantly, they are finding community. Many are experiencing, for the first time, what it means to truly belong.

As we stepped into this ministry, one truth became clear: the need is greater than one home.

Young men aging out of foster care face the same urgent realities and limited housing options. The call to open a men’s home has become both clear and pressing.

What began with restoring one historic house has grown into a larger mission — to stand in the gap between instability and independence, between uncertainty and opportunity.
