Physical fitness and knowing your community are integral when it comes to self-protection. Our Founder thwarted an assault when she was followed home from the train one night, inspiring B3: Be Prepared, Be Aware, Be Empowered. Being physically prepared to run, and aware of her surroundings, she was able to protect herself and run to safety. She needed B3. And she's not alone.

Our Be Empowered program is designed to strengthen our community by bringing neighbors together to Move & Meet at a B3 Safe Stop - local businesses near SEPTA stations that provide safe spaces for our community. B3 Collective specialists lead these yoga classes designed to help our community Be Empowered to fearlessly walk alone.

Yoga enhances strength, balance, and coordination, leading to better posture and body awareness. A consistent yoga practice ultimately contributes to a confident and alert appearance when walking alone. Pratyahara and meditative breath work heighten situational awareness, helping you remain present and responsive.
Connect with others after class to build your own B3 community. Building a strong community is a vital part of feeling safe and supported!

100% of survey responders stated that attending a B3 class increased their self-esteem/confidence and identified their connection with their community as a great place to live.
