Through its performing, teaching, mentoring, and scholarly activities, Emmanuel Music occupies a unique niche: a living laboratory for the music of J. S. Bach. Emmanuel Music finds new and creative ways for audiences and musicians to engage with the artistic, spiritual, and humanistic aspects of the music of J. S. Bach, the cornerstone of our musical output for our first fifty years.

We are incredibly honored and proud to perform at BachFest Leipzig in June 2024. Originally an invitation for 2020 and postponed twice due to the pandemic, we are one of but a handful of American ensembles selected for this distinguished opportunity. Hosted by the Leipzig Bach Archive, the world’s preeminent center for Bach scholarship, BachFest Leipzig is a three-day festival presenting the works of J.S. Bach performed by the most knowledgeable and talented ensembles in the world.

We will perform a series of Bach Cantatas and keyboard works on June 9, 2024 at Thomaskirche (St. Thomas Church); Bach’s musical home where he served as Thomaskantor for 27 years.

Our tour to Leipzig will cost Emmanuel Music almost $200,000. Please help us to raise $100,000 to send us on our way by sharing this campaign with your friends, communities, and networks.
