At Be Cafe, our friends with intellectual and development disabilities do more than make great coffee. They learn they're capable beyond what the world expects of them. The skills and job experience our Beristas build beside our Coaches open the door to lasting careers in our community.

How it Began.

Inspired by her son, Brody, who was born with Down Syndrome, Jenny Cole dreamed of bridging the employment gap in every community. In October 2019, her dream became a reality with the opening of Brody's Be Café in Ada.

At Be Café, we believe every person deserves the dignity, purpose, and joy that comes from meaningful employment. That's why we've built thriving coffee shops where adults with intellectual disabilities, our incredible BEristas, don't just have a job. They have the beginnings of a career path.

Celebrating the 5th Annual Be Benefit.

The Be Cafe has always been a nonprofit but relied solely on coffee sales to raise funds. Then, a few of our giving partners got together and helped organize the first Be Benefit. With a modest goal of $25,000, our Beristas, parents and administrative team were blown away when they helped to raised $125,000 in its first year. Since, The Be Benefit Auction has become a must-attend event in Forest Hills.

You can count on The 5th Annual Be Benefit Auction to be a spectacle as our Beristas, sponsors, staff, parents and giving partners take over Legacy Park in Ada. You can expect entertainment, great food, and plenty of beverage along with premiere live & silent auction prizes. We cannot wait to see you!
