Igniting a New Generation of Global Leaders

I’m Cyrena Denniston, the founder of Black Fire Ministries, and I’m honored to share the heart behind our mission. We are committed to igniting, equipping, and empowering a new generation of diverse catalyst leaders within the African diaspora to transform the world with the Gospel. Through intentional discipleship, leadership training, and outreach, we are sparking a movement that inspires change both locally and globally.

Our Vision
At Black Fire Ministries, we envision a world where 100 next-generation catalysts are raised up by 2030 to boldly carry the light of Christ into communities across the globe. These young leaders will drive spiritual, social, and economic renewal, especially within the African diaspora. They will lead others to encounter the transformative power of the Gospel, creating ripple effects that extend beyond borders.

I founded this ministry based on Matthew 28:19-20, the Great Commission, where Jesus calls His followers to "go and make disciples of all nations." We believe that, through the power of the Holy Spirit, these catalysts will be the hands and feet of Christ, building a legacy of hope, justice, and spiritual renewal worldwide.

Why This Campaign Matters

2024 is a landmark year for us. Having launched in February, we are laying the foundation for the next decade of impact, starting with our first major support-raising event, Ignition Launch – A Night of Vision, Worship, and Empowerment on November 23rd, 2024. Our goal is to raise $180,000, and we are trusting God to move mightily as we prepare for this evening of vision and worship.

We are currently dedicated to raising $90,000 before the event and have been blessed with over $13,000 raised so far. The remaining $90,000 will be raised during the event itself, where every dollar will be matched. Each contribution, whether large or small, plays a vital role in empowering our Catalyst leaders to continue their Gospel work.

No Gift is Too Small
At Black Fire Ministries, we truly believe that no gift is too small when it is given from the heart. Every seed sown is a blessing that expands God’s Kingdom and helps us raise up the next 90 Catalysts by 2030. These funds will also support our Catalyst leaders who are currently serving in countries like South Africa, Guinea, Benin, Ghana, Uganda, Togo, and the United States, ensuring they have the resources they need to ignite transformation in their communities.

How You Can Help

Support us through one-time and/or monthly giving to fuel our ministry work. We can also receive gifts from trusts, brokerage accounts, shares, etc., with tax deduction, and if over 60 years old, you can give from your IRA without tax consequences.
