In 2024, we gave away over 190k books and recorded more than 9,855 patron entrances. So far in 2025, we have already given away more than 166k books, and we’re expecting to exceed last year’s totals. We are still a volunteer-run organization as we work towards sustainability without compromising the mission or fundamental nature of The Book Thing: putting free books into the hands of those who want them. Your support helps make our work possible.
