A Park for Everyone, Powered by Everyone

Brentwood Green is a true community effort — a partnership between neighbors, teachers, parents, LAUSD, and the City of Los Angeles. Since 1997, we’ve worked together as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to bring something special to life: a beautiful campus and playground at Brentwood Science Magnet School that serves both the school and the wider community.

During school hours, it’s a vibrant place for students and faculty. And on Sundays, the gates open for the whole community to enjoy.

This fundraiser is another reflection of that same community spirit. We are proud to collaborate with Brentwood Mamas, a local mom group of more than 200 members, to help support Brentwood Green. Many of the auction items have been generously donated by local Brentwood businesses, as well as mom-owned businesses in our community!

Why It Matters

Kids need room to run, explore, and imagine. Birds and butterflies need gardens to call home. And all of us, no matter our age, need green spaces where we can simply gather, breathe, and connect with our neighbors.

Brentwood Green brings all of this together in one welcoming place. We're proud to be a model for what's possible when schools and communities team up — and we hope our story inspires others across Los Angeles to do the same.

It's more than a playground. It's where families come to connect, kids come to play, and our community comes together.

Brentwood Green is entirely volunteer-run, and every dollar donated goes straight back into the park — keeping the playground and gardens maintained, supporting the staff who supervise the grounds, and covering the custodial care that keeps everything clean and welcoming. Your donation is tax-deductible, and more importantly, it's a direct investment in keeping our gates open for everyone.

Build and care for a beautiful, eco-friendly park on the grounds of Brentwood Science Magnet School
Bring much-needed greenery and open space to a neighborhood that doesn't have enough of either
Offer recreational space and hands-on learning gardens for both the school's children and the wider Brentwood community
