The Brown Play School is a nonprofit preschool serving greater Providence for over 75 years.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, our mission is to provide quality education to our community and support the growth of our students.

We aim to nurture the creative and collaborative spirits of our students, allowing them to be the active protagonist of their learning experience. Following this Reggio-Emelia inspired philosophy, our education team curates an inviting classroom environment: intentionally designed for the open-ended play that informs our emergent curriculum. We feature twice-a-month yoga and music classes alongside environmental education in our on-site greenhouse.

Our annual Fall Fete is a crucial fundraiser and a wonderful community event, bringing together parents, alumni, and friends to enjoy a lovely dinner with beautifully restored 1920s duckpin bowling. Your support allows us to provide special enrichment activities for our students, keep our center updated and engaging, and provide retirement benefits to our fantastic educators.

We can't wait to see you there!
