Every year, Boston Terrier Rescue ET Serving the Southeast braces for the busy months ahead. While many people are enjoying summer vacations, our rescue is preparing for the reality that more dogs will need our help than ever before.

The truth is that rescue never takes a vacation.

Dogs continue to be surrendered, abandoned, neglected, and found in shelters throughout the Southeast. Many arrive needing extensive medical care—surgeries, dental work, treatment for heartworms, emergency vet visits, medications, diagnostic testing, and specialized care. Some of our most vulnerable dogs come to us with medical needs that cost thousands of dollars before they are ready for adoption.

In just the past year, we've helped dogs with severe illnesses, congenital defects, eye injuries, seizures, pneumonia, and other life-threatening conditions. Every time we say "yes" to a dog in need, we take on the responsibility of providing the medical care they deserve.

That is why our Christmas in July Auction is so important.

The funds raised help ensure that when the next emergency call comes in, we can answer it. They help us provide lifesaving veterinary care, rehabilitation, food, medications, and safe foster homes for Boston Terriers who have nowhere else to turn.
