Join us in celebrating the magic of giving at the 40th Annual Poinsettia Ball hosted by the Burgess Foundation on Saturday, December 14th, at the Onawa Community Center. All proceeds from this special evening will benefit Burgess Health Center.

For four decades, the Poinsettia Ball has provided essential financial support, enabling Burgess Health Center to fulfill its mission of delivering excellent healthcare and exceptional patient experiences. This year, as we celebrate the 40th anniversary of this cherished tradition, we continue our commitment to improving the health of our rural communities.

The funds raised from this year’s Poinsettia Ball will be dedicated to upgrading our Radiology Department with a new digital x-ray unit. Currently, we are fortunate to have two general x-ray units, however one is 13 years old and nearing the end of its lifespan. This means that replacement parts may no longer be available if it requires repairs. Thanks to your support during this year's event, we’ll be able to invest in a state-of-the-art digital x-ray unit. This advanced technology will benefit both our patients and providers, offering higher image resolution for more accurate diagnoses and reducing radiation exposure. The radiology department at Burgess performs over 5,000 general x-ray studies annually, and your generous donation helps us enhance patient care right here at home!
