Since our founding in 2015 on Atlanta’s Westside, Peace Preparatory Academy has been rooted in a bold and transformative mission: to educate the whole child, support the whole family, and create opportunities for growth and transformation throughout the whole community—all within a high quality, Christ-centered learning environment.

We believe that:

Educating the whole child means nurturing each student’s academic, emotional, and spiritual development.
Supporting the whole family creates lasting, generational change.
Empowering the whole community gives us the best chance at transformation from the inside out.

Whole children and whole families create whole communities. It’s an ambitious mission, but we are driven by the conviction that a quality education can break the cycle of poverty, and that the power of Christ can free our children and community from the chains that hold them back.

Over the last 10 years, we’ve witnessed the power of this vision in action. We’ve watched as students who once struggled begin to believe in themselves and flourish. We’ve stood beside families as they found strength, stability, and hope. We’ve seen our community begin to rise—one child, one family, one act of love at a time.

Honoring this mission also means constantly reassessing how to serve better. In 2024, we made the difficult but faithful decision to pause our middle school programs to focus on strengthening our K-5 foundation. At the same time, we deepened our partnerships with local organizations to provide wraparound support for our students and families so we can stay focused on what we do best: loving and educating children.

It was a leap of faith—but it worked. Our students are thriving. Test scores have significantly improved and our staff is empowered with greater opportunities for professional development and mental health support. Our school culture is alive with purpose, joy, and the presence of Christ.

This past year has renewed our hope and deepened our belief in what God is doing through Peace Prep. We are eager to share that hope with you—through stories of transformation, testimonies of faith, and a bold vision for the future.

In honor of Lecrae, a founding board member who played an integral role in launching Peace Prep, and his upcoming album, this year's gala theme is Reconstruction, highlighting the revitalization taking place at Peace Prep and on the West Side.
