We are thrilled to extend a warm invitation to our highly anticipated Annual CHECKPOINT Youth Celebration Fundraising Event hosted by A Leadership Journey (ALJ). ALJ’s mission is to provide BIPOC youth ages 13-18 from marginalized communities equitable access to international & domestic cultural exploration through travel, utilizing travel as a vehicle to discuss the importance of mental & emotional wellness, global citizenship, leadership, self-awareness & ubuntu. The Annual CHECKPOINT Youth Celebration Fundraising Event is a special occasion for us to gather and acknowledge the remarkable accomplishments of our youth participants while raising funds to support our operations and programming in order to continue to educate and develop young leaders for the 21st century and beyond. CHECKPOINT is a time to share inspiring stories that showcase the positive impact we've made in our community and to highlight the progress that we've achieved together. The evening's program will include: - Inspiring guest speakers - Youth participant success stories - Recognition of outstanding achievements with a special awards ceremony - Expressions of gratitude to our donors and sponsors - Live auction on items such as a 3-night stay at an AirBnB by the beach in RI, and so much more!
