We're excited to bring you a unique collaboration featuring the talented artist Chloé Bernard.

Chloé is a multidisciplinary artist based in Marseille resident of the Couvent Levat. Inspired by a surreal and nostalgic aesthetic, she creates colourful worlds through her paintings. Transporting those who observe them into strange dimensions.

For this special occasion, Chloé has worked her artistic magic on a series of three beautifully painted skateboards.

As part of our year-end campaign, this auction is a testament to the global effort to create a positive impact through skateboarding and the arts.

Our online auction will run parallel with an in-person exhibition at the iconic Friche Belle de Mai, a renowned cultural hub for skateboarding and artistic expression that unites a diverse community of creative minds.

Online bids can be placed from December 11 until the 16th.

And, on December 16, 2023, you can join us as we celebrate the intersection of art and social impact within the skateboarding world at the Friche Belle de Mai.

Whether you're attending in person or participating online, your support will go a long way in helping the Concrete Jungle Foundation carry out its programmes in 2024. 100% of the benefits of the auction will go to continue CJF work onsite.

Skateboarding for Social Change: Addressing Community Challenges

Concrete Jungle foundation works in communities affected by extreme poverty, violence and lack of access to essential resources such as health or quality educational opportunities in Peru, Jamaica and Morocco.

In the short term, we respond to local demands for skateboarding facilities in environments otherwise lacking in sports infrastructure and communal/youth spaces.

However, CJF tries to tackle much bigger problems in the long run.

Jamaica

CJF: Thriving communities and individuals one push at a time.

Cjf has created a working model based on sustainability, capacity building, and impact measurement, encompassing a Participatory Decision-Making system that allows individuals and entire communities to thrive.

Learning soft skills:

The Edu-Skate Programme is CJF’s soft skills development programme focused on children aged 6-16. Edu-Skate utilizes skateboarding (and the life skills embedded in the activity and culture) to promote positive life skills for our service users.

Mastering hard skills:

CJF works with youth aged 18+ on hard skills through the Planting Seeds Apprenticeship. Aiming to tackle youth unemployment & shortage of skilled workers in the construction industry through immersive, hands-on-deck, paid apprenticeship.

Complementary programmes:

Learning something new takes time and requires multiple chances at trying. This is how the Continuity of Learning Programme was born. It can be about skatepark construction, but not only is it about hard skills, it is about opportunities, mobility, meeting people, new experiences and personal and professional development.
