Whiskey Pine Pottery has been behind the growth of The Gasoline Gypsies since day one. They've been throwing beautiful, unique pieces memorializing every step of The Gasoline Gypsies' journey. Their artistry has served to help us fund recording efforts, tour costs, and our literal dreams while allowing us to offer merch options that not only promote The Gasoline Gypsies, but remind everyone, everywhere we go of the abundance of creative excellence that can be found in our hometown, Port Huron, Michigan.

The wisdom in the business says, "If you can make your first trip across the pond break even, you're winning!" This is the next logical step in our independent growth; A most fortunate, yet daunting opportunity. We are't alone though, with friends like Whiskey Pine Pottery, and fans like you. There is a certain poetic and cosmic synergy between our song "Mud in the Water" being the reason that the Black Deer in the City, and Brighthelmstone Productions invited us to England, and the support we are getting via the loving hands of the Denny and Pappy at Whiskey Pine Pottery, throwing Lake Huron mud to craft beautiful things, to help us get there.

Over the next few weeks, The Whiskey Pine Pottery team will be throwing pieces dedicated to our first UK tour. Each piece, as unique as an individual music performance, made with the same passion, and hope we put into every song we play.

Whiskey Pine Pottery Clay & Chords merch

Is 100% Michigan made Port Huron by master Potter Denny who has over 30 years Pottery and ceramic teaching experience.

Our Clay & Chords limited edition, ceramic merchandise is made exclusively to support the Gasoline Gypsies 2025 UK music tour.

The pieces made for this addition are hand thrown from production porcelain clay at Rovin Clay Co made in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

All the useable dinnerware in this line is high fired and food safe safe and dishwasher safe.

Pottery process:

Our Clay and Chord pieces all go through 5 stages of production to achieve this unique finish look.

First each piece is painstakingly handmade, trimmed and finished Over the course of several days, they are dried in our damp cabinet for about two weeks.

Secondly, They are then fired to 1945°F for 24 hours. This is called the bisque stage.

In the third stage pieces are coated with glaze hand mixed and formulated at a Work facility at Foundry. This ensures that we know exactly what’s in the glaze and can trust that it’s safe effective and beautiful for all of our customers. They are then fired to over 2300°F. In a 48 hour heating and cooling process.

In the fourth stage, we print logos and/or pictures of the band on special paper with iron oxide and apply them to the Pottery, which is then fired again yet 1945°. And the printed image comes out as a beautiful sepia tone from the iron.

In the last stage, for the pieces with the Union Jack we apply a special water slide decal. It is then fired in a fourth and final firing to approximately 1600°F to ensure the decal is permanently embedded glaze and is dishwasher safe.
