Noah Miller, a senior at Berthoud High School, is a vibrant young man known for his outgoing personality, love of adventure, and passion for the outdoors. Whether he's hiking, playing sports, or simply spending time with friends, Noah brings joy to everyone around him. However, on September 28th, 2024, an incident occurred that changed Noah's life.

Noah sustained a severe injury that fractured his C5 vertebra and compressed his spinal cord for over 12 hours. After emergency surgery at UC Health in Aurora, Noah regained sensation in most of his body, but the injury left him paralyzed from the chest down, including his hands. Despite these challenges, Noah's determination is strong.

Noah was transferred to Craig Hospital in Denver, one of the world’s leading spinal cord injury centers, where he has been undergoing intensive physical therapy. For the past five months, Noah has committed to 6-8 hours of therapy, five days a week, with the goal of regaining as much function and independence as possible. While his long-term prognosis remains uncertain, Noah and his family remain hopeful and focused on his progress.

Throughout this difficult journey, Noah’s parents rent a hotel in Denver, ensuring they are with Noah as he works tirelessly toward recovery. At home in Loveland, their incredible daughter, Emma, has been the rock holding everything together. While caring for their home and animals, she also manages her own busy life, balancing work, college, and church leadership with unwavering love and support for her family.

The outpouring of support from the community, friends, and Noah’s church family has been overwhelming, lifting the spirits of the entire Miller family. Your prayers and encouragement have made a tremendous difference during this time.

However, the financial burden on the family has been significant. Despite having medical insurance, their PT allowance has ended and the family is now paying for all medical expenses, therapy, housing, and other associated costs out of pocket. The financial strain is mounting as Noah’s recovery continues, and they are doing everything they can to stay positive and provide Noah with the care he needs.

As Noah continues to make progress, there are several specific needs to help improve his quality of life and recovery process. These include additional therapy to continue strengthening his body, paving the driveway to ensure Noah can safely and easily navigate around their property, and acquiring specialized equipment to support his daily needs. In addition, the family is in need of a newer truck that can accommodate adaptive controls and a wheelchair lift, which will allow Noah greater independence in his mobility.

Now, as Noah continues his journey toward recovery, we are asking for your help. Your support will help ensure that Noah continues to receive the therapy and care he needs, while also providing him with the tools to regain more independence in his life.

You can support the Miller family in multiple ways outside of donating to the website. They need volunteers to help with the fundraising event on April 25th. This includes handing out flyers, sharing the event on your Social media and with friends/family, gaining sponsorships, donating items for the Silent Auction, buying tickets to the event, helping the day of, sending words of encouragement and praying.

Noah's story is one of resilience, hope, and optimism. His ability to brighten the lives of others, even in the face of adversity, serves as an inspiration to those around him.
