CREATURE/COMFORT, a new musical by drag kings Excess Materials and Hugh Mann Race, is coming to the Exponential Festival from January 22nd - 24th - but we need your help to make it happen! We're raising money to pay our all-trans and queer cast and creative team, and help us make the show the best it can be with costumes, sets, puppets, and more!

About the show:

What if Frankenstein’s monster made himself? What if The Island of Dr. Moreau were gayer?

It's 1953, and Dr. Bartholomew Bright and his faithful assistant Kevin have one goal: to make the perfect monster. But with the FBI closing in, will their experiments succeed? Or will they be caught before Kevin has the chance to confess that his feelings for Dr. Bright are more than just scientific? Created by drag duo Mann & Materials, this campy musical comedy asks just how much we’ll transform for love. Featuring an original synth-pop score, fantastical monstrous puppets, and homosexual awakenings, Creature/Comfort invites its audience to find (and lovingly embrace) the monster within.
