Founded in 2021, Home Is Here is a grassroots nonprofit organization that cultivates systems of support with and for newly arriving immigrants in the Gulf South.

Home is Here builds alternative community-based support with immigrants who arrive alone, are impacted by detention, and are excluded from government-funded support. Our work focuses on building capacity in the areas that newly arriving immigrants say they value most: Legal Aid; Housing; and Supportive Community Relationships.
