About Hit the Books

Hit the Books (HTB) provides after-school educational programs, mentorship, and mixed martial arts (MMA) classes to children in Harlem ages 6–13. Our mission is to help students grow intellectually, emotionally, and physically outside of the classroom.

At HTB, we:

Expose students to educational and professional opportunities that might otherwise pass them by
Foster an environment of educational equity and empowerment
Serve as a community within a community, where children feel safe, supported, and at home

Your participation in the Benefit Dinner directly supports HTB’s programs and ensures Harlem youth have access to the resources, mentorship, and safe spaces they need to thrive.
