Support Art at DCI

As an IB World School, the aim of our department is to “nurture creative, critical, and reflective thinkers while fostering intercultural understanding and lifelong engagement with the arts.” The Visual Arts & Film courses were first offered as part of the Diploma Program in the fall of 2018. In those eight years, our arts program has continued to have strong enrollment and terminal outcomes - while providing interdisciplinary opportunities across subject areas.

Senior Trip to New York City

This year, our graduating seniors will travel to New York City in June for an immersive arts experience. This tradition paused during the pandemic and we would like to bring it back! Visual Arts students will visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art, while Film students will explore the Museum of the Moving Image—two world-class institutions.

This trip gives students the rare opportunity to engage directly with influential works, deepen their artistic perspectives, and experience creative industries in action. Your support helps make this meaningful experience possible for all students.
