In the small rural community of Kalama in Mityana District, Uganda, 96 vulnerable children depend on one place for stability, care, and hope.

Many of these children are orphans, HIV-affected, or living in families facing extreme poverty. For them, everyday life can mean empty plates, missed school, and uncertain futures.

But through the work of Rock of Refuge Foundation Uganda, these children receive the support they need to grow, learn, and thrive.

Founded in 2019, the organization provides practical, life-changing programs that support both children and their families.

What Your Donation Supports

Daily Meals

Nutritious meals served throughout the year keep children healthy and focused in school.

Over 105,000 meals are provided annually.

Education Support

School fees, uniforms, books, and mentorship ensure children stay in school and build brighter futures.

Health & Emotional Care

Medical care and emotional support help children heal from trauma and grow with confidence.

Farming & Food Security

Seeds, tools, and agricultural training help families grow their own food and reduce hunger long-term.

Women’s Economic Empowerment

Mothers and caregivers are trained in:

• Soap making
• Basket weaving
• Traditional weaving

These skills help women generate income and support their families sustainably.

2026 Funding Goal

223,250,000 UGX (≈ $60,800 USD)

This full-year budget supports all programs serving 96 children and their families.

Food Security — 141,900,000 UGX ($38,665)
Daily meals and agricultural support. This represents 64% of the total budget because nutrition is the foundation for everything else.

Child Care & Education — 13,200,000 UGX ($3,600)
School support, health services, uniforms, and mentorship.

Core Operations — 68,150,000 UGX ($18,570)
Transportation, communication, program coordination, and emergency support.

Women’s Livelihood Programs
Training and materials for soap making, basket weaving, and traditional weaving that help families earn income and achieve independence.
