This painting by Tom Furano was inspired by the WSW Fall 2022 Concert, Desert Sage. If you look carefully, you can see homage to the premiere of the work Desert Sage by Michael Markowski, which includes a stagecoach under the conductor's baton, a green suguaro cactus (also nearby), and the artist's translation of the musical concepts and visions created by the music of the concert.

About the Artist: Tom Furano is a professional artist who resides in Port Chester, NY, who blends his passion for teaching and creating art with the life lessons learned when someone makes their living in the art world. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wagner College and a Master of Science from The College of New Rochelle.

Tom proudly taught art at the Mount St. Michael Academy in the Bronx, where he positively influenced the lives of many young men. He is also an accomplished trumpet player who had been invited to perform with Wynton Marsalis.
