Our Community is at a Crossroads

Arts programming is often the first resource to be reduced when budgets tighten, yet it remains a fundamental pillar for student development and community health. At Pulse Arts, we have spent years bridging the gap between artistic expression and community engagement. Today, we face a significant challenge. Our current resources only allow us to reach a fraction of the students and families who seek our programming.

The Need for Expansion

Data shows that students with access to high quality arts education are three times more likely to earn a bachelor's degree, yet nearly 40 percent of local schools currently lack a dedicated arts curriculum. Pulse Arts is operating at maximum capacity, and our current facility and supply limitations mean we must turn away interested participants every month. To meet this demand, we are launching a targeted fundraising initiative to expand our reach.

Impact numbers:

Since 2019: 30+ schools served, 50+ internships and about 30,000 students and families.
Social impact report: 40% increase in student engagement, 25% decrease in chronic absenteeism, 43% increase in family engagement, partnerships tripled and 200+ hours of family workshops. It covers 8 school sites and about 6,500 students.

Our Vision for Pulse Arts

With your support, we will implement a comprehensive expansion plan designed to eliminate barriers to creative access. Our project scope includes:

Continuing LAUSD Arts Programming: Help us expand access to high-quality arts education through integrated programs led by professional teaching artists—giving more students the resources, creative opportunities, and support to discover their talents and thrive through the arts.

Expanding Healing Forward: Support continued art therapy for students and families affected by local fires and community displacement. Through Pulse Arts’ creative programming and therapeutic support from Manifesting M.E. Wellness, participants have a welcoming space to create, connect, and continue moving forward.

Building Relationships with Art Professionals Across Los Angeles: Connecting working artists in every field, including; visual, performing, literary, media, and musical arts with our schools and college partners, so students at every level have mentors, internships and pathways into local creative careers.

Your Direct Impact

Every dollar becomes something tangible. An artist in a classroom, access to professional creative equipment, a healing space for a family, or an opportunity a young creative may not otherwise receive.

Your gift doesn’t simply support a program. It puts crucial resources directly into the hands of Los Angeles students and families—and keeps those opportunities free.

Your generosity makes these programs possible. We invite you to join us in this investment in our community's creative future.
