This year, thanks to your generous support, Pacific Wildlife Care has made tremendous strides in our mission to rehabilitate and protect wildlife in San Luis Obispo County. The Growing Need for Support

This year, we’ve rescued over 3,000 animals from 200+ species—a record number. Declining food sources, extreme weather, and rising temperatures are placing wildlife at greater risk. Additionally, as urban expansion increases, wildlife is being forced into more dangerous situations.

At Pacific Wildlife Care, we’re committed to providing immediate, humane care and educating the public on how to safely assist wildlife and coexist with the animals in our care.

A New Home for Pacific Wildlife Care

Our lease is up at the end of 2025 and our current facility is at capacity! We are excited to share our plans for a new, larger center. We’ve secured 10 acres in San Luis Obispo for the Kim and Derrel Ridenour Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. We’re on track to break ground in early 2025, and with nearly $5.8 million raised toward our $7 million goal, we urgently need your support to help complete the first phase of construction.
